Event One
Go beyond the cheesy, store-bought stencils and join me as I share some of my favorite painting techniques! We’ll use our original ideas or choose existing shapes to trace and cut re-usable stencils. Learning to control the paint is key and we'll play with both acrylic, and spray paint on paper and canvas. Even the simplest shapes can be repeated and layered to great effect! I use stencils in most of my work as a painter to make rhythmic, repetitive backgrounds, points of interest, or to create multiple paintings with some of the same shapes. I love the versatility that one, simple stencil can have and I look forward to seeing how others run with it!
Tickets are $35 for members and $45 for non-members. This class will be located at the Makerspace in the Wenatchee Valley Museum.
